Bespoke Learning Material Grounded In The Science Of Learning
Who We Are
RB Curriculum Design Co. was built on a simple conviction: that well-designed learning materials make a genuine difference to teachers, tutors, parents and the students they work with.
Our team brings over 25 years of teaching experience across every key stage and phase of education, from Early Years through to post-16, Pre-K to Grade 12. We have worked in primary and secondary schools, taught across multiple curricula, including the English National Curriculum, the International Baccalaureate, and British international school frameworks, and built classrooms in multiple countries. That breadth is not incidental. It means we understand how learning contexts differ, what stays constant across them, and how to design materials that work in the real world rather than in the abstract.
At the heart of everything we produce is the science of learning. Our approach draws on what research tells us about how students actually acquire, retain, and transfer knowledge, from cognitive load theory to the principles of spaced practice and retrieval. We don't design by instinct or tradition. We design by evidence.
We also know that learners are not uniform. Across our careers, we have worked with students with a wide range of learning needs, including dyslexia, ADHD, autism, speech and language difficulties, and social and emotional needs, among others, as well as with high-attaining learners and students for whom English is an additional language. That experience shapes how we work. Every unit we design considers the full range of learners it might need to reach, and we are equally comfortable building materials for a whole class as we are designing something for a single student.
We are practitioners first. We have planned the lessons, marked the books, and sat in the parent meetings. When we design curriculum materials, we do so with a clear understanding of what teachers, tutors, and parents are actually dealing with, and what they genuinely need.
